The various pieces of furniture from chest of drawers to side tables and mirrors are made from cherry wood and date back from as far back as the 19th century to modern day. They are inlaid and intricately decorated with mother of pearl and camel bone – beautiful and distinctively from Damascus. The beauty of these timeless pieces is that being handmade each is individual - no two patterns are alike. Traditionally the chest of drawers were taken by a bride to her new home as part of her dowry - there is a story behind each piece; so well made, many more stories can be lived alongside it.
